Best Buy To Sell HTC Evo 4G Micro HDMI Dock

htc evo 4gBest Buy has started an ad campaign about their plan to sell the micro HDMI dock for the Sprint HTC Evo 4G Android powered smartphone coming in June. According to recent tests of the new HDMI 1.4 dock is still not functioning perfectly yet. Here is what a reporter from PC Mag had to say, “We tried the cable with two TVs, a Samsung and a ViewSonic. The Viewsonic TV read our signal as 480p and delivered a horribly blocky, artifact-filled image. The Samsung TV did better. A stored, 640-by-480 MPEG4 video played smoothly, although there were some visible artifacts. An H.264 video displayed horrible artifacting in any scene with much movement.”

AT&T And LG To Unveil The Mobile TV Capable LG Vu Plus

According to press release the phone will be available June 6 for $149.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate for a new 2 year contract ofcourse. Mobile TV will also cost an additional $9.99.

MSI To Launch Tablet Computer By Third Quarter

MSI has just implied that they had been interested in launching a tablet computer right away but that the demand for tablet computer isn’t really at its best as of now and that it will take couple of months more when there are more applications and the operating systems are ready to more advanced tasks than just some big smart phones.  According to conversation with MSI chairman, Joseph Hsu, the tablet will have an Intel Atom Z-series processor, a multi-touch display, and run Windows 7. Hsu also said the company will focus more on introducing 2 to 3 new models every year and will be showing off their upcoming netbooks at different computing events including Computex next week.

LG Announces Pricing For Their Line Of 3DTV Series

After releasing their series of 3DTV some weeks back in Korea, LG is now announcing the pricing for their line of 3DTVs for the US market. The pricing is well below the result of converting the pricing from Korean currency to the US dollar. Pricing is more reasonable now and gives more hope of actually buying one. Pricing for the LX9500 has not been released yet but the 47 inch 47LC6500 costs $2,699.99 while the 55 inch 55LC6500 costs $3599.99. 3D glasses will be sold separately for around $149.99.

Motorola Waiting On Android 2.2 Update

Although Google have started rolling our Android 2.2, codename Froyo to their Nexus One smartphone. Other Android powered devices will not be enjoying the new update until they become available later. Motorola, having seen all the functionality that comes with the new update are hopeful the update becomes available to their android powered devices soon. Their is no official date on when the update will be available to other devices yet, so we will have to wait and see.
